My great-great-great-great grandmother, Emma (Eager) Gear was born in 1825 in Essex County, New York and died in 1915 in Ransom,. Hillsdale County, Michigan. She is buried in Ransom in Evergreen Cemetery with her husband, the Rev. Joseph Gear and other relatives.

She left behind a journal containing her own writings from the early 1850's to 1915 along with other items written by friends and family as well as several newspaper clippings. Her journal is a window into another way of life as well as a genealogical document. Click Here to Enter.
